Nice Session (V.Short)

Good Evening...

Just a short game of poker.... i started to get withdrawals from poker so i deposited $200 and i have managed to get that too a heathly sum!

As you can see that hands payed off... & yet again i played way to high in fact i played at $5/$10 blinds. Im talking players with $1,520 dollars sitting on my table! So tight aggressive play is the key hear!

Well i'm meant to be at work "working" so cant stay for long. However i will let you know that my brother and i played at the casino in our first live cash games, on the $200 table. We arrived at the casino at around 10pm and got on the waiting list for the tables, by the time we were seated it was 1am. We played for around an hour and a half and to put it lightly we killed it.

-I had pocket 2's flop into trips... payed me $180
-Biggest hand for me was i limped in with 5-3 off suit... and the flop was 10-5-3 with 4 callers turn and river was 5-A... i had a full house and got payed $300 dollars.

At the end of the night my brother and i added up our combined winnings for $900 clean profit, on that note i will be coming back...!

Big News!!!!

Im engaged!!! As of 16th July. More on that later... As for poker im not going to play till im able to deposit around 1,000 flush online. So im guessing it will be in a month or so. I will be playing down at the Canberra Casino to help build my bankroll So i hope that makes it faster.

Played again tonight while the AFL was on tv and the misses wanted to watch it... Anyway not really in the mood to type for too long. Played a short simple sweet game in fact only 55 hands. Pocket kings payed off for the second time. This time the player that called me had to of had... AA, KK, QQ, JJ and maybe 10's. So when i hit that king i was dancing!

Another short and tight session, last about 35 mins on 2 tables... and it was a good soild session, no mistakes on my part. Only one hand made me tonight (as below). By the way i kept it short and sweet because there was to much action on the tables and to many callers, which is strange for $2/$4 tables with 9 people. Im starting to feel i have the hang of the game and the style of the play needed at this level. So i hope to keep up the winning at this solid rate.
Im now just under half way to my goal of $1,000 (US$) so must be doing something right. As for playing 5,000 hands i dont care if i dont get to that, because i dont wanna play when the cards aren'y falling my way.
Im still pondering just how far i want to take this whole poker thing, assuming i stay a winning player. But so far i have got to the point where ideally i would be able to successfully earn a total profit of $2,500 to $5,000 a month. But at the same time work full time (hopefully as a pro soccer player).

Big news, I'm looking at getting engaged to my wonderful girl friend. So yeah exciting times are just around the corner. I hope to have it all sorted by the time i go to move overseas with her. Anyway more on that later, now about poker...

I played at a much higher level in fact most likely to high... $2/$4 blinds. Where the average pot is around the $60 and the players are very predictable. Obviously you need a big bank roll to play at this level (around $4,000), however i wanted to play tight and very clean (ie play the top 10 hands). For example i played 18 flops of 135 hands in one of my sessions. I played very well, and made the wins count and the losses small. Below is a monster hand:

I played some more this morning, i played very very well. The hand below was probably the biggest hand i play all day. There were a hole lot of ups and downs over the session but over all was a good morning.

The Beginning

Welcome to a blog about poker.

This blog will be following me through the games from day to day and the highs and lows. I have set my self a goal of getting to $1,000 (US dollars). And a second goal of playing 5,000 hands to see if I'm a winning player or not.
